Head Server

Since 2012, Steam works has expanded its reach with its packaged products, featuring whimsical branding and steam-brewed craft beers, available across British Columbia and internationally. This is a full-time, on-site role located in North Vancouver, BC, for a Head Server at Steam works Brewing Co. The Head Server will oversee daily operations within the dining area, ensuring an excellent guest experience by providing exceptional service, managing team performance, and facilitating communication between the front of house and kitchen staff. Responsibilities include training and mentoring servers, maintaining a positive and efficient work environment, and addressing and resolving guest concerns.

This role requires a strong focus on maintaining service standards and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for team members and guests alike.

• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in team leadership, training, and mentorship within the restaurant or hospitality industry
• Knowledge of food and beverage service, including familiarity with craft beer and pairing options
• Ability to effectively handle guest complaints and resolve issues while maintaining a positive experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced dining environment
• Experience with POS systems and basic operational reporting
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a brewpub or similar establishment is an asset
