Northamptonislookingtoaddanadditional Service Engineerduetoincreasedworkload . Thebusinessworksacrossamixedrangeofnewandusedplantmachineryandneedssomeonepractical,hands-onandcomfortablewithvariety.
Thisisahands-onrolesupportingboththeworkshopandon-sitework. Thecurrentsplitisroughly
70% workshop/30% field, butthefieldelementisexpectedtogrowovertimeasservicedemandincreases.
You’llbeinvolvedinmachineprep,PDI,servicing,repairsandbreakdownsupportacrossavariedfleet.
Thiswouldsuitsomeonewhocangetstuckin,workontheirowninitiativeandisn’tfazedbyabusyenvironmentwithmixedequipment.
- PDIandpreparationofnewandusedplantmachinery
- Routineservicingandmaintenance
- Fault-findingandrepairs (shop and on-site)
- Breakdownsupportandcustomercall-outsasrequired
- Mechanical,hydraulicandbasicelectricaldiagnostics
- Workingonattachmentsandassociatedequipment (e.g. buckets/breakers)
- Accuratejobsheets/servicepaperworkandclearcommunicationwiththeworkshopteam
- Provenexperienceworkingonheavyplant/construction machinery
- Strongmechanicalandhydraulicservicing/fault-finding skills
- Basicelectricaldiagnosticscapability (not a heavilyelectricrole)
- Self-sufficient,practicalandhappytomuckinwhereneeded
- Comfortableworkinginboththeworkshopandoutonsite
- FullUKdrivinglicence
- NVQLevel3(or equivalent) ideal(ortime-servedwithstrongplantexperience)
- Backgroundfromplanthire/mixed fleet/independentserviceenvironmentsishighlyrelevant
- Avariedrolewithapropermixofworkshopandfieldwork
- Companyvanprovided
- Overtimeavailablewhenrequired(workload dependent)
- Toolssupportisflexibledependingonyoursetup
