Job Title:

Senior Accountant

Location:

Northbrook, IL

Shift: M-F Hybrid - flexibility on which 3 days a week in office

Must Haves:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (3 to 6 years is ideal)

Pluses:

CPA

Familiarity of SAP accounting systems

Background in Manufacturing / Distribution Industry

Job Responsibilities:

Assists, prepares and reviews monthly journal entries and month-end analyses.

Assists and prepares various exhibits and commentary required for reports issued to management and government agencies. Coordinates typing, proofreading, issuance and filing of reports.

Prepares and reviews analyses of various account balances and maintains files of supporting documentation.

Prepares written procedures on job responsibilities.

Assists with special projects, year-end activities and related duties.

Prepares and reviews bank account reconciliations.

Evaluates and recommends improvements to accounting procedures and systems.

Provides guidance to junior accounting staff.
