Tax Manager

Our client is looking for a Tax Manager to join their well-established public accounting firm in the Northbrook area. This is an excellent opportunity to inherit an existing book of business, build long-term client relationships, and work toward a clearly defined partnership track within a collaborative, relationship-driven firm.

What You'll Do:

• Manage a portfolio of individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and fiduciary tax clients
• Review complex tax returns and provide technical guidance to clients and staff
• Serve as the primary point of contact for your client base, building trusted, long-term relationships
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services throughout the year
• Mentor, train, and develop junior staff, particularly during non-busy season periods
• Collaborate with firm leadership on client service initiatives and long-term practice growth

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  Master's in Taxation preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience with management or supervisory responsibilities
• Strong experience reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and fiduciary tax returns
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
• Proven ability to mentor and develop staff
• Desire to grow into a long-term leadership and partnership role
