Accounting Supervisor

CF Industries seeks an Accounting Supervisor to lead day-to-day accounting operations within the Finance, Accounting & Administration team for its chemicals business. You will oversee general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and robust internal controls. Partner with operations and finance leaders to analyze results, support budgeting and forecasting, and improve processes. You will supervise and mentor staff accountants, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement in a dynamic, innovative culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and journal entries
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Prepare, review, and approve account reconciliations and variance analyses
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and support external and internal audits
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff accountants, managing workload and priorities
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and administration teams on budgeting and forecasting
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Support ad hoc analyses, projects, and system enhancements for the finance function
