Job Summary
This role supports a large chemical manufacturing company’s customs operations within the broader supply chain organization. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn import/export regulations and customs processes through hands‑on partnership with the internal customs team. The incumbent will assist with the preparation and review of shipment documentation, maintain accurate records, and ensure data integrity across operational logs and reporting tools.
They will collaborate cross‑functionally to verify shipment details, resolve discrepancies, and support continuous improvement of customs workflows. The incumbent will also engage with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate compliant and efficient movement of goods while developing foundational knowledge of global trade requirements.
- 2+ years if professional experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy on documents
- SAP experience
- Logistics (import/export) experience
- Entering data and maintaining operational logs
- Verifying the accuracy of shipment details – documents review
- Maintaining records of transactions and related correspondence
- Assisting the team with projects
- Generating internal data reports as needed
