Northbrook Public Library seeks a Facilities Assistant Substitute.

Schedule:
No set schedule. Substitute shifts typically occur within the following hours: 3pm-9pm Mondays-Thursdays, 8am-5pm Saturdays, and 11am-5pm Sundays.
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Facilities Assistant Substitute. The ideal candidate will have solid computer and customer service skills, be comfortable relating to a diverse group of people and be able to work accurately in a changing environment with frequent interruptions.
As a Facilities Assistant Substitute, you will perform building maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff and patrons. Key responsibilities include conducting maintenance tasks, setting up meeting spaces, and utilizing an online ticketing system to track issues. The role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and facility materials, tools, and equipment
- Customer service experience
- Strong communication skills
- Computer skills
