Bell Flavors & Fragrances is seeking an experienced Commodity Manager – Fragrances to lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of fragrance raw materials. This role is responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies that ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and strong supplier partnerships while supporting business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute procurement strategies for fragrance raw materials aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
- Establish and maintain best‑in‑class supplier relationships, focusing on service, pricing, quality, and reliability.
- Drive and manage raw material contracting and sourcing initiatives.
- Manage supply and demand variability, transportation efficiency, and inventory optimization to reduce cost and improve service levels.
- Utilize the ERP system to initiate purchases, issue purchase orders, and maintain accurate planning and inventory data.
- Partner cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, & Operations to support cost standards and material planning.
- Monitor monthly cost variances, forecast fiscal impacts, and communicate insights to leadership.
- Manage raw material inventory levels, aging, and expired materials in collaboration with Quality and Compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Significant experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management, preferably within flavors, fragrances, chemicals, or related manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of raw material markets, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
- Experience working with ERP systems and data‑driven procurement tools.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Competitive salary range: $100K - $120K
