Associate Designer, Email

The Associate Designer will support digital marketing with a focus on Email and SMS. They will deliver compelling, brand elevated designs through typography, design, and photography. Ensure email designs are customer-focused, intuitive and meet all brand standards.

This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

A day in the life as an Associate Designer, Email...

+ Execute creative projects for the digital channel under the direction of the Sr Art Director or Art Director. This includes Email and SMS creative

+ Collaborate with design leads and external teams to ensure new campaigns are produced at standards that uphold/elevate the company's brand identity

+ Build cross-functional relationships and interact daily with multiple internal teams on creative initiatives

+ Consistently approach design projects from a user-centered perspective

+ Manage projects while working within schedule requirements and quick turn-arounds

+ Contribute to the development of best practices and procedures, techniques and tools to optimize efficiency

What you'll bring to the table...

+ Strong visual design skills with an ability to execute under the direction of other designers

+ Detail oriented, with a keen eye for aesthetic quality and strong sense of typography

+ Understanding of relevant software including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Movable Ink experience is a plus

+ Light HTML knowledge is a plus

+ Animation/motion graphic skills are a plus

+ Strong communication skills - including ability to present work with clear rationale behind design decision making, clear and concise written communication, and good interpersonal skills

+ Strong organizational, time management and project management skills - able to manage multiple projects and meet all necessary deadlines

+ Ability to work in a highly collaborative cross-functional team environment and partner with business stakeholders and other designers

+ Demonstrate flexibility and adaptiveness. Ability to problem-solve creatively

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

+ Must provide a link to portfolio (including password) on resume or provide PDF samples of recent work including digital marketing campaigns

+ 1+ years previous experience as a production designer or visual designer for an agency or in-house creative department

+ Bachelor's degree in Design required

+ Understanding of relevant Adobe Suite software

+ Familiarity with retail industry a plus
