Work Year: 8/17/2026 - 5/28/2027

Days Off: 10 holidays plus winter break (10 days) and spring break (5 days)

Schedule:

8:15am - 3:45pm

Illinois Professional Educator License with Music Endorsement for Kindergarten through Grade 5 (or higher)

Principal

• Develop and maintain plans for daily music instruction
• Utilize teaching methods to meet the wide range of abilities, interests, andlevels of students
• Assist in development of, be knowledgeable about, and be guided by the curriculum of the district and the state learning standards
• Attend and participate in meetings
• Share with other staff members ideas and techniques to improve curriculum and teaching; confer with other staff members regarding experiences for the betterment of student learning
• Evaluate individual student progress on a regular basis and maintain necessary records
• Provide written student progress reports as required
• Exercise reasonable measures to assure student health and safety, being alert to the needs of students and collaborating with the appropriate related services personnel
• Collaborate with administration and colleagues and assist in the implementation of supports for all students; and participate with resource personnel for the purpose of supporting student learning
• Assume responsibility for supervising the behavior of students on school property or during approved events away from campus
• Know and observe the policies and regulations of the district and of the assignedindividual building(s) and district
• Keep records of student attendance and tardiness, and utilize procedures to support student attendance
• Provide appropriate plans and materials for use by substitute teachers

10 Month Position; salary and benefits as determined annually by the D28 Board of Education
