Senior Revenue Accountant

Northbrook, IL

Responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements and reports with a primary focus on revenue recognition and reporting.

• Support month‑end close activities—including preparation of monthly journal entries, consolidation, and analysis in the area of revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review sales transactions, analyses, account balances and maintain supporting documentation.
• Review sales legal agreements to support proper revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review exhibits and commentary for reports issued to management, outside directors, third parties, and government agencies.
• Respond to ad‑hoc financial information requests and analysis.
• Identify trends and variances for unusual items and assist with year‑end activities such as audit inquiries.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and assess cross‑departmental impacts.
• Collaborate with departments (Supply Chain, Sales, Market Research, Legal, IT, Finance) to understand financial implications of transactions.
• Provide guidance to other accounting staff and operational team members.

• B.S. in Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Understanding of established departmental processes and internal controls, including ability to identify deficiencies.

Base salary typically $72,900–$96,200. Additional incentive program available.
