** What You'll Do
*** Promptly and accurately research, review, and process payments from various sources along with loss and loss recoveries.
* Research and resolve unidentified transactions in the cash suspense ledger and assist in reconciliation process of suspense items
* Coordinate the daily department balancing spreadsheet. and review transactions identified in the payment exception reports.
* Assist in researching and resolving items in general ledger accounts, including processing necessary entries to clear outstanding amounts
* Process complex payment/account transactions, adjustments, and reconciling items.
* Manage department email box and distribute items to team members for processing and handle complex requests.
* Promptly and accurately process requests and/or respond to inquiries from internal and external customers. Take corrective action as necessary to resolve issues.
* Prepare and/or maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation within area of responsibility. Help coordinate and assist with department meetings along with training and development of team members.
** Qualifications
* ** Excels at proofreading, spotting inconsistencies and proactively resolving discrepancies
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely via email while documenting requests
* Comfortable navigating, entering data, creating basic charts and using formulas in excel
* Experience with Microsoft Suite
* Prior experience in the financial industry preferred, experience with wires is a plus
