Kemper Sports is seeking a Vice President of Hospitality to lead and elevate the guest, member, resident, and owner experience across a portfolio of destination golf resorts, private clubs, and luxury residential communities including Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Streamsong Resort, Sand Valley & The Glen Club. This executive role is client‑facing and operator‑driven, setting scalable standards and driving high‑touch experiences, strong financial results, and engaged teams—powered by Kemper Sports' True Service principles.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Kemper Destinations, the Vice President of Hospitality provides executive leadership for Food & Beverage, Lodging/Rooms, and Residential Hospitality operations across a portfolio of developer‑owned destination golf resorts, private golf clubs, and luxury residential communities. This role is highly client‑focused, partnering closely with ownership and development teams to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences that strengthen brand positioning, elevate guest and resident satisfaction, and enhance long‑term asset value.
The Vice President is responsible for building a culture of team engagement and high‑touch experiences, leveraging and continuously strengthening Kemper Sports' True Service principles. This leader will shape strategy, drive operational excellence, and ensure hospitality programs are both luxury‑caliber and scalable across diverse markets.
Responsibilities- Drive multi‑property hospitality performance across restaurants/bars, banquets & events, culinary operations, lodging/rooms, and residential services. Set scalable operating standards and consistent service expectations while honoring each property’s market positioning. Partner with golf and resort/community leadership to deliver seamless guest, member, and resident experiences across dining, lodging, events, and residential touchpoints.
- Serve as a trusted senior advisor to owners and developers—aligning strategy and execution with business plans, pro formas, and long‑term asset goals. Lead experience innovation (new concepts, programming, and signature offerings) and champion high‑touch service and recovery practices rooted in True Service.
- Provide revenue management leadership for lodging, including yield strategy by segment/channel, forecasting, pace and market analysis, and disciplined use of reservations/revenue systems. Build KPI‑driven performance frameworks (dashboards, audits, business reviews) to improve results, prioritize initiatives, and manage organizational load.
- Lead change initiatives from design through adoption, strengthen cross‑functional alignment and accountability, and build high‑performing leadership teams through recruiting, development, engagement, and succession planning. Support development, renovations, and new openings to ensure operational feasibility, service flow, staffing models, and training/readiness. Stay connected to industry trends, benchmarking, and competitive intelligence to inform standards, pricing posture, and continuous improvement.
- 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in hospitality.
- Deep expertise in Food & Beverage and Lodging/Rooms within luxury resort, club, or mixed‑use environments.
- Proven multi‑property/regional operations experience with the ability to standardize excellence while respecting local market needs.
- Demonstrated success partnering with owners and developers and delivering outcomes aligned with business plans and pro formas.
- Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, labor strategy, productivity standards, and cost controls.
- Advanced knowledge of revenue management, distribution channels, central reservations, and related systems (PMS/CRS/RMS).
- Change leader and culture builder with a passion for high‑touch service, team engagement and drives continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the portfolio.
