Job Overview
Senior IT Business Systems Analyst. Lead initiatives across the business function, driving solutions through the system life cycle and collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver creative, data‑driven solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead solutions through the system life cycle from inception to go‑live and beyond.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver functional and technical requirements to development teams.
- Provide insightful data visualizations and reporting to advise decision‑makers.
- Lead projects in consultation with IT Security, Infrastructure, Business Owners, and vendors; manage end‑to‑end delivery while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure deliverables meet project management methodology standards, and communicate status frequently.
- Influence future of business systems through system/product selection and evaluation.
- Define scope and strategy for quality assurance of business systems.
- Manage project operational activities, including monitoring resources, preparing documentation, status reports, and change controls.
- Analyze overall health of business systems via issue tracking and cross‑functional alignment.
- Establish and enforce internal control processes and procedures; identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of related professional experience (preferred).
- Strong self‑starter with effective communication across all levels of the enterprise.
- Experience with Osisoft/Aveva PI System (PI Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Universal File Loader).
- Intermediate knowledge of .Net C# and basic material balancing.
- Experience in defining strategy and user requirements for PI data resources, Asset Performance Management (GE APM, Uptime
AI), and drawing/document management systems. - Consulting, advising, and designing data architecture solutions using PI system; leading stakeholder groups.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Azure Dev Ops, and project management.
- 5+ years in a chemical manufacturing, refining or power generation facility (plus).
- Business test planning and coordination experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and align IT service with business goals.
Base pay is typically between $99,500 and $139,900. An incentive program and comprehensive benefits package are available, including medical, dental, vision, health savings plan, well‑being program, 401(k) with 10–13% employer contribution, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and flexible work arrangements.
