Manager, IT Network Operations

At CF Industries, the Manager of IT Network Operations leads the implementation and ongoing management of the enterprise’s Commercial (IT) and Operating Technology (OT) networks, overseeing a team of IT professionals and providing subject‑matter expertise across the organization.

• Collaborate with vendors to understand current product offerings and future directions of network technologies.
• Work with IT Managers and Directors to ensure CF’s networks meet the needs of all IT Product Teams and enable seamless, cross‑vertical interoperability.
• Assess CF business strategy and long‑term technology standards to develop an appropriate network operating strategy.
• Lead a Governance Council of IT leaders to define and approve the network strategy and future project roadmap, reviewing and negotiating with vendors as needed.
• Manage an insourced or outsourced Network Operations Center.
• Design and troubleshoot network infrastructure to mitigate risk, including enterprise‑level SD‑WAN and cloud network configurations.
• Design Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) and define access control rules for Microsoft Azure, on‑premises, and hybrid environments.
• Work closely with IT site leads in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. to ensure network solutions are operating as expected.
• Understand and comply with established processes for internal controls, including Change Control procedures across all environment modifications.
• Identify internal control deficiencies and report to management.
• Assess, develop, retain, and recruit IT talent to support ongoing business needs.
• Manage and assign personnel, evaluate staff performance, and prepare performance evaluations.
• Coach and mentor subordinates, identify training needs, and recommend development programs.
• Provide on‑call support outside of business hours (safety training may also be required).

• BS/BA in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 5 years of related professional experience and prior experience supervising staff are required.
• Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are desired.
• Experience with and responsibility for one technology and/or technical function.
• Ability to implement new technologies from established vendors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including advanced written and verbal communication.
• Advanced logical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
• Decision‑making authority at a complex, multi‑functional level.
• Financial accountability related to revenue and expense impact for the managed functions.

• Base pay range: $111,400 – $156,800 (actual base pay may be influenced by qualifications and scope of role).
