Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst - Scheduling (Primavera P6 EPPM)
Provide strategic IT leadership for scheduling initiatives using Primavera P6, SAP, and related integrations. Self‑starting, creative, and analytical thinker who collaborates with partners to design data‑driven solutions. Develops and presents data visualizations and reporting to support business decisions.
Major Responsibilities- Serve as strategic advisor and primary IT functional lead for scheduling initiatives, owning the partnership between CF business teams and IT for Primavera P6, SAP, and integrations.
- Partner with SAP functional and technical teams to validate SAP‑to‑P6 data mappings, assess impacts of SAP configuration changes, and support integration and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver creative solutions for scheduling and reporting across Capital, Engineering, and Turnaround/Outage Projects.
- Deliver functional and technical requirements to development teams.
- Advise decision makers by providing data visualizations and reporting to drive impactful decisions.
- Lead projects with IT Security, Infrastructure, Business Owners, and Vendors; drive projects end to end while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Complete all deliverables according to Project Management methodology and communicate status updates clearly.
- Shape the direction of business systems by engaging in selection and evaluation of systems and products.
- Help define the IT Road Map and set strategy for scheduling.
- Define scope and strategy to keep PIF and P6 systems current and dependable.
- Manage operational activities on projects and enhancements, monitoring resources, preparing documentation, status reports, and change controls.
- Act as point person for issues and enhancements for P6 integration with SAP.
- Advise on reporting strategies where multiple systems such as SAP and P6 provide the data source of truth.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of scheduling systems; own disaster recovery for PIF and P6.
- Establish and implement processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements.
- Verify adherence to established processes; work with Internal Controls Department to identify deficiencies and develop new processes.
- Create and execute corrective measures for internal controls as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Years of experience: 7+ years with Oracle PIF/P6; SAP experience a plus.
- Other job‑relevant attributes:
- Expert working knowledge of Oracle’s PIF–P6.
- Business process knowledge in SAP S4; strong SAP process literacy expected.
- Knowledge of PIF/P6 systems capabilities and business operations.
- Business test planning and coordination experience.
- Participation in change process and change board attendance.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to apply business knowledge to improve solutions and align IT services with business goals.
- Willingness to learn SAP if not already experienced.
- Understanding of Role Identity and Role Access as it pertains to PIF and P6.
The estimated base pay for the position is typically between $99,500 and $139,900. Pay may be influenced by factors such as education, skills, experience, and scope of the role.
In addition to base pay, this position may have an incentive program and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, health savings, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and flexible work arrangements.
