Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Business Intelligence to lead our Back Office BI team and drive our data‑driven decision‑making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and business intelligence, with a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business decisions and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities and CompetenciesLeadership and Strategy:
- Lead and mentor a team of BI Managers, Data Engineers, BI analysts and developers.
- Manage workload distribution, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of projects and reports.
- Promote a culture of data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.
- Coordinate the work between business partners and on‑shore and off‑shore locations.
- Partner with business leaders to create robust roadmaps.
- Oversee the collection, integration, and analysis of data from various sources into an Enterprise Data Lake.
- Manage the build of enterprise data foundations, reusable data models, and governed data products.
- Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of data products, including stakeholder engagement, design, deployment, and sun setting of legacy solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Implement and maintain data governance and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business units to identify key metrics and KPIs.
- Enable self‑service analytics across the organization.
- Evaluate and implement BI tools and technologies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in business intelligence.
- Manage multiple BI projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Identify and prioritize BI projects through cost/benefit analyses.
- Proactively work with functions to identify areas where analytics efforts can produce strong value add.
- Ensure program targets are achieved and accurately quantify value creation following project implementation.
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years in data and analytics roles in large/complex environments.
- 4+ years of experience in a leadership role managing Data/BI teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading end‑to‑end modernization initiatives, including migrating legacy on‑premise or traditional data platforms to modern cloud technologies such as Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience directing both on‑shore and off‑shore teams.
- Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem‑solving, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills.
- Ability to work with and influence senior management.
- Ability to self‑direct and accomplish objectives as part of larger project teams.
- Experience with Supply Chain Optimization, Warehouse management (Manhattan, Others), Transportation Systems (Route Planning, TMS) preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, ADLS, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Power BI preferred.
The anticipated salary range for this position: $ - $ Annual. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
