Senior Director of Inventory Management

Position Summary

AZ Wire & Cable is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Inventory Management to lead inventory strategy, inventory control, and inventory accuracy across our Northbrook operation. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, improving inventory planning and controls, supporting customer fulfillment, and leading continuous process improvement initiatives. We’re looking for a strategic, data‑driven leader who can strengthen inventory discipline, improve visibility, and partner across the business to support growth and service levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory management strategy and execution
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and process discipline
• Oversee inventory planning, stocking strategy, replenishment, and inventory movement
• Partner with purchasing, operations, customer service, and sales
• Analyze inventory trends and implement process improvements
• Ensure inventory availability while minimizing discrepancies
• Develop inventory processes, reporting, and performance metrics
• Drive productivity, accountability, and operational excellence through disciplined inventory management

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of inventory management experience within wire & cable, electrical distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, fasteners, MRO, or related wholesale distribution
• Strong ERP experience
• Experience leading inventory control, inventory planning, and inventory accuracy initiatives
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Demonstrated leadership experience
