Overview

Weekend Floor Technician/Housekeeper at Avina – Northbrook Health and Rehab, Northbrook, IL.

This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors as part of the Environmental Services team.

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

• Perform routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist housekeeping staff with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Ensure resident rooms, hallways, and common areas are maintained to facility standards.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

• Previous experience in floor care/housekeeping preferred (healthcare or long-term care setting a plus).
• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable, with good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and furniture as required.
