Large Northbrook-based automotive manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi‑spindle precision machining seeks an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician.

• Maintain plant machinery and equipment following a preventive maintenance schedule to keep equipment functioning at maximum efficiency and reliability.
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment problems as they occur.
• Make recommendations to improve quality, efficiency, safety, or communication.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production Managers to enhance equipment.
• Update equipment maintenance log promptly and accurately so records are complete for each piece of equipment.
• Maintain the tool room to ensure availability of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance functions.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area, including routine facilities maintenance; coordinate plumbing or electrical work with subcontractors and closely with the Maintenance Manager and Production Managers.
• Follow all safety practices and immediately correct or report unsafe or hazardous conditions.

• 5+ years of CNC and manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls machinery and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.
• Programming logic controller (PLC) troubleshooting knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance schedules, technical drawings, machine schematics, and troubleshooting manuals.
• Understanding of the importance of maintaining detailed maintenance logs.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, stoop, bend, and otherwise access all areas of machinery and equipment for maintenance.
