MainAccounting Responsibilities
- Coordinates and reviews all required journal entries during the month end close.
- Coordinates and reviews analytical Gross Margin reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Provide senior leadership with quarterly cost and volume variance analysis by product segment.
- Coordinates and reviews the preparation and issuance of various management reports including Adj. EBITDA waterfall slides compared to plan and prior year.
- Coordinates and reviews corporate product costing process during the month end close.
- Coordinates and reviews all pre and post close validation checks monthly, including specific inventory reporting validations.
- Coordinates and reviews ad hoc exhibits included in the monthly Costing Package.
- Participates in updating material cost standards within SAP.
- Maintains compliance over SOX and other internal controls.
- Coordinates and reviews special projects, providing assistance where necessary
- Coordinates quarterly and year-end audit closing schedules and monitors progress; initiates, researches and documents improvements to current methods and procedures
- Promotes greater analysis skills across the finance team
- With approval, investigates and implements process changes to promote internal controls and efficiently process department transactions
- Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and process oversight for direct team members
- Provide insight to individuals regarding their role and responsibilities to help meet overall Company objectives
- Empower and promote appropriate responsibility and authority for others to learn and grow into new responsibilities
- Oversee training needs to ensure understanding and compliance with GAAP
- Promote the corporate controller's group by developing strong relationships across CF departments
- Promote the matrix organizational structure with direct reports and cross-group involvement
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA preferred
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
- Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals across the organization
- Proficiency in Windows with working knowledge of Excel and Word
The Corporate Cost Accounting Department provides accurate and timely information on operating costs, measures inventory value monthly, and verifies cost of sales. It compares actual versus anticipated results and explains unusual variations. The Manager ensures cost accounting performs these functions with accuracy and efficiency.
Internal ControlsEstablishes and implements processes to meet departmental internal controls requirements. Works with Internal Controls to identify deficiencies, determine the need for new processes, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
The estimated base pay for the position is typically between $99,500 - $139,900. The actual base pay may be influenced by education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside the posted range.
In addition to base pay, an incentive program is available to all full-time employees, plus a comprehensive benefits package including two medical plan options, a health savings plan with company contribution and match, dental and vision benefits, a well-being incentive program, a 401(k) plan with potential employer contribution between 10% and 13%, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and flexible work arrangements.
