• Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and process oversight for corporate accounting
• Provide direction to individuals regarding their role and responsibilities to help meet the overall Company objectives, along with the role the department has in fulfilling corporate goals
• Empower and promote the proper level of responsibility and authority for others to learn, grow into new responsibilities and make the proper decisions to obtain the overall department objectives
• Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and trust in all aspects of the job by working continually towards self-development, staying abreast of current information and technology, and being knowledgeable with FASB & AICPA governing bodies affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance
• Promote the corporate controller’s group by developing strong relationships between department members and other CF departments through a high degree of communication across management
• Promote the matrix organizational structure with direct reports and encourage cross involvement between people and groups

• Responsible for coordinating and reviewing journal entries and account analysis; along with coordinating maintenance and control procedures for the general ledger system
• Coordinate and review analyses and exhibits for the financial statement commentary package
• Coordinate and review preparation and issuance of various reports to management

• Coordinate and review special projects, providing assistance where necessary
• Coordinate year-end audit closing schedules and monitor progress
• Initiate, research and document improvements to current methods and procedures
• Promote greater analytical skills across the finance team

• With approval, investigate and implement process changes to promote internal controls to efficiently process department transactions and other responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and reviews work assignments
• Identifies training needs and provides resources to meet these needs

Establishes and implements processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements. Ensures that established processes/procedures are followed as designed. Works with Internal Controls Department to identify deficiencies, the need for new ones, and the extent to which such processes/procedures are being followed. Develops and implements corrective actions with regard to department internal controls as necessary.

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting or equivalent
• CPA and/or master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of accounting experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
• PC literate within a Windows environment with excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications; knowledge of SAP preferred
