Operations Engineer, Production Manager
Make an impact at Bell Flavors & Fragrances. We’re looking for a Production Planner to keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly by coordinating master schedules, materials, and cross-functional workflows—leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to translate demand into reliable, efficient production.
Your Responsibilities- Champion safety & quality. Model safe work practices and support GMP/HACCP, allergen, and related food safety programs across daily activities.
- Plan production with precision. Build and maintain production schedules against demand forecasts and capacity; complete critical planning tasks and provide backup coverage for the planning team.
- Own MRP in D365. Use D365 MRP to generate accurate material requirements and ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Coordinate schedules & packets. Align work orders to customer orders, lead times, and shop capacity; manage dates in the system and create complete production packets.
- Run production through ERP. Manage production/work orders and material allocations in D365; keep records accurate and up to date.
- Partner cross-functionally. Collaborate with Customer Service, Procurement, and Production to ensure on-time manufacturing for our customers.
- Continuously improving. Identify and implement process enhancements that streamline planning workflows.
- Document rigorously. Maintain accurate documentation for all work orders; help develop and maintain work instructions/SOPs.
- Stay compliant. Uphold industry regulations and company policies related to planning and data management; support system regression testing as needed.
Education/experience: Two-year college or five years’ related experience (Associate’s preferred—Business, Operations, Accounting, or related).
Systems: Minimum two years with D365/ERP/WMS; strong Excel skills for calculations, formulas, and professional reporting.
Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical ability to interpret transactional data and propose options.
Execution: Proven ability to prepare/present business reports; deliver under pressure and deadlines; work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have: APICS certification; S&OP execution experience; proven ability to present data to cross-functional teams.
