Express Employment Professionals is hiring Material Sorters!
Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $19.00 per hour

Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable Material Sorters to join our client's recycling operations team. The Sorter is responsible for inspecting and properly classifying recyclable materials moving along a conveyor line, removing contaminants, and placing materials into the appropriate containers.
This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals who want to join a hardworking team while contributing to a safer, cleaner, and more efficient recycling operation.
Essential Functions- Inspect and sort materials according to size, type, and condition.
- Remove contaminants and place materials in the appropriate containers.
- Keep the work area and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Report unsafe working conditions or equipment/team concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- No prior experience required.
- No specific education or previous industry experience required.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Regularly lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, twist, and stretch to pick up materials.
- Work around conveyor systems, trucks, and machinery with potentially high noise levels.
- Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Potential exposure to dust, odors, and other materials associated with recycling operations.
- Required to use PPE such as gloves and safety glasses.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
