CNC Machine Operator II Position SummaryThe CNC Machine Operator II is responsible for operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to produce precision‑machined components that meet established quality, safety, and production standards. This role independently performs routine machine operation, tooling changes, machine offsets, dimensional inspections, production documentation, and basic troubleshooting while following Lean Manufacturing principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and all safety requirements. The CNC Machine Operator II contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and helps ensure efficient, high‑quality manufacturing operations.

- Operate assigned CNC machines independently while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
- Perform machine start‑up, shutdown, restart, and fault recovery following standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine machine geometry offsets to maintain dimensional specifications.
- Complete tooling changes and verify proper tool selection using the tool vending system and tool crib.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, job travelers, and work instructions.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicator micrometers, Go/No‑Go gauges, pin gauges, thread plugs, and thread rings.
- Utilize the Oasis Vision System for inspections when applicable.
- Complete first‑piece and in‑process inspection documentation accurately.
- Identify, communicate, and elevate quality concerns or out‑of‑specification conditions to the Set‑Up Technician or Supervisor.
- Record production output, quality metrics, safety metrics, and labor reporting accurately.
Calculate machine cycle times and monitor production performance. - Verify heat lot numbers and maintain product traceability documentation.
- Weigh and count production components using calibrated scales.
- Remove machining chips and dispose of materials according to company procedures.
- Maintain clean machines, workstations, gage tables, and surrounding work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications- 1–3 years of experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
