What

You’ll Be Doing

Schedule:

Part‑time, 24 hours per week on the night shift (6:30 pm–7:00 am). Working with children at Eating Recovery Center’s residential facility in Northbrook, IL. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system. You will partner with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and a consistently therapeutic milieu for all patients.

As a leader of the healthcare team, you will deliver professional nursing care, utilize sound clinical judgment, and align with ERC Pathlight’s established standards of care, policies, and procedures. You are expected to remain flexible, demonstrate effective and efficient care while maintaining quality, and treat patients, families, and co‑workers with dignity and respect. On‑call shifts may be required based on business needs and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, administering treatment, and evaluating patient response to care in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan.
  • Perform initial intake assessment of new patients and discharge reconciliation and education.
  • Place, receive, and complete provider orders per ERCP policy.
  • Administer medications via multiple routes in accordance with ERCP policy and provider orders.
  • Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point‑of‑care testing in accordance with ERCP policy and laboratory vendor protocols.
  • Place and maintain nasogastric tubes and administer enteral feeding.
  • Place and maintain intravenous access and administer intravenous fluids.
  • Perform wound care.
  • Document all direct patient care, monitoring, and observation in the electronic medical record.
  • Supervise and delegate care to Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Communicate and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patient.
  • Ensure care provided aligns with the individualized treatment plan and patient outcome goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings regarding patient progress toward treatment goals and planning for continued or changing clinical interventions.
  • Document and report to the treatment team regarding patient status and progress.
  • Participate in training, teaching, and mentoring new nursing department teammates.
  • Respond to emergency situations until emergency medical services (EMS/911) arrive on scene.
Must Haves
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment (Required).
