The Citadel of Northbrook is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, toileting, and exercising, and provides support under nurse supervision.
Job Responsibilities- Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing or CNA Supervisor, collaborating closely with nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
- Provide physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
- Assist patients with daily medication and supplements.
- Ensure proper diet for residents/patients based on dietary restrictions.
- Examine patients for open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
- Note and communicate patient/resident behavior and changes in mood.
- Clean rooms and bed linens.
- Check and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate under supervisor’s supervision.
- Answer patient calls and attend to their needs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills with nursing staff.
- Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for common medical conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn company applications.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification.
- CPR Certification.
- Requirements for walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, and manipulating objects, with or without mechanical aids.
- Must be able to move, lift or carry a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and over a distance of 50 feet.
- May be required to assist during evacuation of residents in emergencies.
