The school nurse provides direct professional nursing services, first aid, illness and emergency care to students and staff in accordance with professional standards, school policy and procedures, and state and local requirements.

- Full-time (10 Month Contract preferred; will consider Part-time applicants)
- School Year
- Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 3:45 pm, except Thursdays 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Five Week Extended School Year Program (optional, but preferred)
- Minimum Education - State of Illinois licensed registered professional nurse (RPN)
- Certification in First Aid, CPR/AED
- Computer Literacy
- Comfortable supporting students with medical equipment
- Provide direct professional nursing services, first aid; illness and emergency care to students in accordance with professional standards, school policy and procedures, and state and local requirements.
- Maintain appropriate documentation in daily logs and in student health records.
- Administer medication and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Complete all required state reports to assure compliance with state mandates including physical and dental exams, immunizations and medical conditions.
- Keep health records up to date for all students.
- Communicate with families when necessary.
- Complete accident/incident reports for students and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all school and health-related issues.
- Perform other health or school related work as required.
- Participate in school events:
Field Trips, Community and Sporting Events. - Attend faculty meetings.
Minimum Education - State of Illinois licensed registered professional nurse (RPN). Certification in First Aid, CPR/AED. Computer Literacy. Comfortable supporting students with medical equipment.
