Role:
Registered Nurse - Central Triage/Medical Group
Responsibilities:- Triages patient calls, manages health concerns, and provides education per protocols
- Supervises Medical Assistants in prescription refills and prior authorizations
- Documents in EMR, communicates lab results, and instructs patients on home care
- Performs preliminary assessments, vital signs, and identifies urgent issues
- Handles crisis situations and ensures professional, sensitive patient interactions
- Diploma in Nursing;
Bachelor's preferred - Active State of Illinois licensure
- Minimum 3 years RN experience; 1 year telephone triage preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and protocols
- Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and ability to assess urgency
- Team leadership and adherence to policies
