Electromechanical Test Technician
Location:
Northbrook, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a local manufacturer in the Northbrook area to hire an Electromechanical Test Technician (Acceptance Testing & Quality Assurance). This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and validating finished products to ensure they meet quality, performance, and reliability standards before shipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined technician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys working with complex electromechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing and final inspection of finished products.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and communication-related issues.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
- Verify performance of electromechanical systems and components.
- Use testing equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Record test results and maintain accurate documentation.
- Identify and resolve defects to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
- Support production and engineering teams with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.
- Experience in testing, product analysis, repair, assembly, or related technical work.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with gears, sprockets, worm shafts, chains, and related mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of DC motors, including brush and stepper motors.
- Experience using oscilloscopes and electronic test equipment.
