Dimensional Inspection Programmer; Zeiss CMM​/Calypso

Atlas Fibre manufactures advanced composites and thermosets for the Automotive, Aviation, and Aerospace markets from our facility at 3411 Woodhead Dr, Northbrook, IL 60062. Weve expanded our Quality Department with a world-class Zeiss CMM, and were growing.

• Build and refine Calypso programs for new and legacy parts.
• Confirm equipment calibration and ensure measurement integrity.
• Translate complex drawings, models, and GD&T into robust inspection strategies.
• Run inspections, analyze outputs, and publish traceable reports.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to close out nonconformances and prevent recurrence.
• Keep the work area organized and safe while following company standards.

• 3+ years of direct CMM programming experience
• Hands-on with Zeiss CMM and Calypso (preferred)
• Advanced GD&T knowledge; strong print/CAD interpretation
• Precision measurement mindset and attention to detail

• Inspection work in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or composites
• Bilingual ability
• Experience with composites/thermosets materials

• Calypso (Zeiss) | Coordinate Measuring Machine (Zeiss)
• Micrometers, calipers, and a range of gauges
• Data analysis and technical reporting

• Clear communication and teamwork across functions
• Problem-solving orientation and continuous-improvement drive
• A thoughtful, curious approach to quality work

• Climate-controlled plant with state-of-the-art CNC and metrology systems
• Standing for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Noise and composite dust at times (PPE provided)
• Some flexibility for shift coverage
