Laboratory Assistant

UL Solutions is looking for a Laboratory Assistant (Workflow Coordinator) with occasional testing needs within the Analytical Chemistry lab .

+ Collects samples from sample cage following appropriate SOPs and sample handling guidelines.

+ Prepares samples for testing utilizing reference materials .

+ Coordinates testing of samples between project owners and testers.

+ Communicates continually with project owners regarding issues, timelines, etc.

+ Maintains sample chain of custody within LIMS and within lab as able

+ Performs wet chemistry testing as needed such as pH, specific gravity, percent ash, etc.

+  Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.

+  Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

+  Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

+  Performs other duties as directed.

Total Rewards:
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $36,400 to $48,500 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary.

This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
