Key Responsibilities
- Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
- Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe’s specifications
- Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time)
- Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders
- Engages with customers when opportunity arises: understands needs, assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise; listens to and responds knowledgeably; demonstrates sincere appreciation; communicates information on stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty
- Implements in-stock procedures: moves or replaces beams & grids, rotates stock, builds products & displays using power equipment per reset/project instructions
- Identifies damaged products, removes them, delivers to Return to Manufacturer, signs off as defective
- Verifies buyback items and ensures they are prepped for shipping
- Identifies damaged/missing signage, displays, collateral and orders replacements per merchandising standards
- Confirms product pricing info is visible; resolves/replaces missing pricing labels
- Updates and validates way finding/product location signage and digital maintenance throughout store
- Ensures cross‑merchandise, side‑stack products, j‑hooks, and gravity‑feed bins are placed appropriately to drive add‑on sales
- Works with leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale
- Sorts products in bins, drawers, and boxes to proper location
- Merchandises per plantogram, price, color block and places plants upon arrival
- Fills plant racks onto plant tables per plantogram to grand opening‑ready standards
- Maintains a safe, clean store: reviews completion details, ensures resets are safe, repairs/replaces displays, repairs/seals packaging, removes trash, replaces light bulbs, alerts for maintenance issues
- Detects shoplifting, theft, and security risks and reports them to management or Asset Protection
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery); conducts safety reviews, notes hazards, and keeps aisles clear
- Adheres to all safety requirements for job duties: top stock safety, reinstall safety cables, use of aisle blockers, tether lines on power equipment, spotters, safety devices
- Operates store equipment as needed (Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compactor baler)
- Maintains point‑of‑sale signage; activates bin/beam label stock and price changes; audits and updates pricing labels inside/outside store for accuracy
- Follows state‑specific guidelines on price changes (Pricing Policy SF‑06)
- High school diploma or GED General Studies or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- 6 months of Lowe’s sales floor experience
- 6 months of experience performing product merchandising tasks including reading planograms and plantograms, setting up and tearing down displays
- 3 months of experience operating power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment
Pay Range: $16.50 – $18.50 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
