- Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
- Down‑stock merchandise by replenishing empty areas on shelves
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time
- Cross‑train in other store areas to enhance customer service
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)
- Guide customers through the shopping or checkout experience
- Complete other duties as assigned
- 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction) skills
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimal lifting of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi‑lingual skills
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials)
This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores may be required.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. You may work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions, exposing you to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Constant or intermittent noises, moving or shaking objects and equipment may be present. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume; associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts when needed.
Powered equipment should be used with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Pay RangePay Range: $16.50 – $18.50 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
