Overview
We are looking for a Hard Goods Associate to engage customers in the Hard Goods areas, including Simulators, Putting Green, Club Repair, and Accessories, to drive sales and enhance customer experience. The role involves front‑end operations such as returns, exchanges, promotions, and maintaining a clean, operational environment.
Responsibilities- Engage every customer and offer world‑class service using PGATSS Service behaviors.
- Seek out and engage customers throughout the Hard Goods areas.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all front‑end operations (returns, exchanges, gift cards, lesson redemptions, loyalty program awards, discounts, promotions, coupons).
- Assist in keeping Hard Goods merchandise present at a premier stock and visual level.
- Ensure all Hard Goods areas, equipment, and supplies are always maintained and operational.
- Maintain a clean, professional presentation of the Hard Goods area.
- Demonstrate in‑depth product knowledge of various golf clubs, explaining features, benefits, and differences.
- Execute proper customer fittings in accordance with PGA TOUR Superstore trained fitting techniques.
- Assist customers with club fitting, selecting the right shaft, grip, and specifications for optimal performance.
- Stay up to date on upcoming merchandising promotions and marketing events, and maintain a strong merchandising presence throughout the promotion lifecycle using The Links bulletins.
- Champion product and service offerings, informing, educating, and promoting them to customers.
- Provide consistent feedback to the Sales and Service Manager on operational and merchandising opportunities.
- Strong listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to organize multiple priorities to meet deadlines and objectives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in retail sales or customer service.
Must be able to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, move throughout the store, and lift a 30lb. box overhead.
ScheduleFlexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
