Location: Northbrook, IL
Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
We are seeking an experienced Smart Home Installer / Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on installation work and has strong troubleshooting skills. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and servicing residential and commercial smart technology systems including audio/video, networking, security cameras, access control, and automation systems.
Responsibilities:- Install and configure low-voltage systems including audio/video, networking, cameras, access control, and smart automation solutions
- Troubleshoot hardware, wiring, connectivity, and device communication issues
- Program and test systems to ensure proper functionality after installation
- Provide professional onsite customer service and communicate project updates clearly
- 2+ years of experience installing low-voltage, AV, security, access control, or networking systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving hardware, wiring, connectivity, and system performance
- Experience configuring and testing systems after installation
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Smart automation programming experience preferred
- Experience with Control4, Crestron, Savant, Ubiquiti, Sonos, Lutron, Cisco, or similar platforms preferred
- Networking knowledge including routers, switches, Wi‑Fi optimization, and IP addressing
