Full-time, 200 work days
- High School Diploma
- Basic secretarial skills
- Computer skills and working knowledge of programs/formats that are currently used in the District (i.e. Word, Excel etc.)
To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the school office and provide a positive impact on children, parents and staff.
Rate of Pay / BenefitsPay range $20.75‑$25.00/hour. The position includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
Superintendent/Board- Observe and adhere to all Board of Education policies and regulations, and all administrative rules and procedures
- Perform all routine office procedures and practices
- Screen telephone calls and mail
- Serve as receptionist for visitors
- Maintain accounts and collect monies for all activities as directed by Principal
- Compile and complete attendance reports for all regular and special education students
- Provide all secretarial services for the Principal
- Prepare and maintain copies of all purchase orders
- Monitor receipt of all materials
- Oversee and supervise the uses of all office equipment
- Maintain student records as required by the State and District
- Provide initial first aid to students while waiting for the school nurse or in the absence of the nurse
- Assist in the preparation of accident reports
- Exhibit confidentiality in relation to students, parents and faculty
- Develop open, effective and positive communication with parents
- Develop a positive working relationship with administration, staff, students and parents
- Assume responsibility for personal and professional growth and development by attending meetings, workshops, conferences and continuing education classes as related to clerical and secretarial services
- Remain current on computer techniques and strategies to improve office functions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administration
- Be knowledgeable of and adhere to and implement the District Safety Plan
