Job Description
Independent responsibility for one or more data centers. Leads performance analyses across key operational areas and proactively monitors facility health to implement significant enhancements. Drives process improvements across functions and regions, leads on‑ground teams in incident resolution, manages escalated technical issues, and utilizes advanced automation and monitoring tools to mitigate risks. Maintains an up‑to‑date knowledge base, executes incident management protocols, performs root‑cause analysis, and oversees new region builds and expansions.
Responsibilities- Independently responsible for at least one data center and occasionally multiple.
- Lead performance trend analyses (capacity, temperature, availability, cleanliness) and identify improvement opportunities.
- Proactively monitor facility health (power, cooling, security) and implement major enhancements.
- Partner across functions and regions to identify, measure, and improve processes aligned with industry best practices (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Lead on‑ground resources to resolve incidents and communicate execution.
- Oversee and support escalated complex technical issues; triage and implement automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools.
- Maintain comprehensive data center knowledge base.
- Execute incident and crisis management protocols aligned with business continuity plans.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and update documentation.
- Lead new region builds and expansion activities, coordinating with project teams and engineering.
- Serve as liaison with project teams, ensuring timelines and capacity needs are managed.
- Oversee installations, repairs, inventory management, logistics, and component upgrades.
- Plan and execute rack deployments, installations, and network physical infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure proactive maintenance of data center facilities for efficiency and stability.
- Manage and coordinate moderately complex tasks, monitoring timelines and deliverables.
- Collaborate across the organization to align expectations and achieve objectives.
- Identify and address moderately complex issues; proactively escalation of critical issues.
- Pursue continuous learning, coaching, and mentoring.
- Recommend process improvements and evaluate impact.
- Contribute to talent development pipeline by participating in interviews.
- Experience managing data center operations and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in incident management, root‑cause analysis, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of industry best practices (Lean, Six Sigma) and data center metrics.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
