The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and developing the procurement team while ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and reliable supply of materials required for production. This role oversees procurement activities, supplier relationships, inventory requirements, and purchasing processes while ensuring alignment with production schedules and business objectives. The Procurement Manager drives process improvements, cost savings, supplier performance, and material availability to support uninterrupted production and operational excellence.

- Lead, manage, coach, and develop the procurement team responsible for purchasing production materials.
- Ensure purchase orders are accurately created, properly approved, and delivered on time to meet production requirements.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for production materials, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and timely replenishment.
- Proactively identify and resolve material shortages, supplier constraints, and supply risks.
- Manage vendor onboarding and supplier registration processes while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with procurement requirements.
- Lead supplier negotiations to optimize pricing, payment terms, lead times, and overall commercial conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier quality, reliability, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and other stakeholders to support sourcing and material strategies.
- Develop alternative sourcing strategies and contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Champion sustainable and responsible procurement practices aligned with company standards and environmental objectives.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with quality, safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Establish team KPIs, monitor performance, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and career development opportunities for team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
- 6-10 years of procurement, sourcing, materials management, or supply chain experience.
- 3-5 years of people leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, inventory planning, and strategic sourcing.
- Advanced negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience working within manufacturing environments preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP MM.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Basic to intermediate Spanish preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
