Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems. This position will primarily focus on the utilities side of maintenance.

Shift & Schedule This is a full‑time position working 2nd shift. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled is required.

2nd shift: 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Sunday‑Thursday

• Observes equipment to make sure it is operating to OEM standard or production satisfaction.
• Analyzes mechanical, pneumatic, electrical problems and makes repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
• Answers maintenance calls in a timely fashion and assists others in troubleshooting.
• Performs routine PMs, repairs, rebuilds, and modifications on all equipment assigned.
• Wires moderately complex control circuits.
• Performs electronic component replacement, substitution, set‑up and calibration.
• Fabricates, repairs, and installs hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
• Welds various types of metals.
• Makes most metal, plastic, and composite machining.
• Fabricates or replicates minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
• Completes size changeovers, makes adjustments, and troubleshoots liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
• Identifies problems and completes repairs with minimal downtime or supervision.
• Troubleshoots 3‑ph 480 V motors and VFDs.
• Completes any necessary paperwork associated with repairs or calibration.
• Completes Work Orders that are assigned to them or their department.
• Provides coverage and/or assistance as needed throughout the facility to meet production schedules and or equipment needs.
• Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident‑free workplace.
• Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety‑related issues to Management.

• Compensation: Pay ranges from at $30.05 - $38.11/hr.
• A shift differential will also be provided.

• 1 year maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience troubleshooting 3‑phase (480 V) circuits, motor starters and controls, and electronic circuit boards.
• Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, walking and standing for long periods of time.
