Manufacturing Production Manager
The Production Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of a high‑speed, high‑volume manufacturing department. They organize and direct departmental activities on the assigned shift, provide leadership and direction to production line teams, and coordinate among maintenance, quality, and materials to achieve operational goals.
Job OverviewThe Production Manager ensures a proactive safety culture, maintains quality requirements, drives continuous improvement, and promotes team engagement. Responsibilities include staffing, training, coaching, disciplinary actions, and fostering an environment of trust and wellbeing.
Shift & ScheduleThis is a full‑time, off‑shift position working 8:00pm to 6:00am, Monday‑Friday. Additional coverage may be required outside these hours, including weekends and holidays.
Position Responsibilities- Establish a safety culture of zero incidents and promote completion of safety trainings.
- Direct departmental activities to ensure timely execution of the production schedule.
- Manage quality requirements to ensure food safety and product quality.
- Implement continuous improvement and employee empowerment through standardized work and processes.
- Determine optimal staffing and provide cross‑training for a flexible workforce.
- Promote team engagement and morale in alignment with company values.
- Lead successful continuous improvement initiatives focusing on lean manufacturing and 5S.
- Communicate goals, coach, administer discipline, and maintain positive employee relations.
- Keep initiatives data‑driven, high‑energy, and results oriented.

- Salary Range: $96,800 – $133,000
- Benefits:

- Benefits begin Day 1.
- Bachelor’s degree or technical degree (Engineering/Technology) preferred.
- 5 years of management or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with lean, kaizen/six sigma, and driving lean transformation (5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, visual management, Kaizen events).
- Computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and basic statistics.
- Team building and development experience.
- Self‑starter with minimal supervision.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities.
