Security Agent

• Base Pay $19.00 / Hour

Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) of Northlake is hiring a Part-Time Security Agent. The role works directly with Retail Management to create a safe and secure environment and ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements. Security agents must pass a comprehensive background check to qualify for the state regulated agent card, and industry-specific and company policy training will be provided.

• Maintaining internal and perimeter store security
• Inspecting and patrolling premises regularly
• Monitoring all access and egress points on the property
• Authorizing entrance of staff and customers
• Responding to alarms promptly and in a compliant manner
• Acting as Emergency Response point of contact for local police, fire, EMT
• Providing assistance to staff/customers in need
• Promptly reporting any suspicious behaviors or activities

• 2+ years of experience in security or a similar role
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Basic computer skills
• Experience with camera surveillance system is preferred
• Training in first aid and/or CPR certification is preferred
• Positive attitude, team play, and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn applicable state and local laws, personnel law, safety regulations, municipal codes, and standard operating procedures
• Must pass all required background checks
• Must remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry
• Must obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to internalize training and follow instructions
• Effective communication skills

Employees must stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Lifting and moving up to 25 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
