As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools and other equipment to complete jobs.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work following Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 2 years of experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration experience.
• Type I / Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls, OR 4 years of such experience.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

• Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, job level and other qualifications.
• Eligible for bonus incentive.

The hourly wage range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility and specific work performed.
