Forklift Operator

Location and Shifts

Northlake, IL. Multiple shifts and days off available.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading materials using forklifts, hand trucks, and reach trucks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and verifying loads against manifest.

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers in loading and unloading trucks.
• Operate forklift, hand truck, reach truck, and pallet jack.
• Handle materials such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and counting; ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and follow TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material.
• Experience with RF scan gun required.
• Previous forklift certifications preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• Strong reading and comprehension of work instructions.
• Ability to work well with others and with little supervision.
• High attention to detail.
• Capacity to lift 50+ lbs unassisted.
• Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

• 1 year of sit‑down forklift experience.
• 1 year of general warehouse experience.

Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs unassisted. Frequent use of pallet jacks and forklifts.

Days, afternoons, overnights, and weekends.

Pay Range: $20–$22 hourly depending on shift. This is the anticipated starting salary range; the company may adjust based on market conditions and candidate qualifications.
