This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting students through high-quality instruction, data-driven planning, and strong classroom culture. In this role, you'll deliver standards-aligned math instruction and collaborate with school leaders, support staff, and families to promote student growth and achievement.

Full-Time, Monday-Friday - Weekly
Hours:
35 hours per week - School Year:
- Role Focus:
Math- Middle School (Grades 4-8) and/or
- Secondary (Grades 7-12)
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in a general education setting.
- Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic success and strong student culture.
- Differentiate instruction and use targeted supports to help students access grade-level content.
- Use assessment data (formal and informal) to monitor progress, adjust instruction, and provide timely interventions/enrichment.
- Collaborate with special education, intervention, and support staff to implement accommodations and instructional strategies.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, expectations, and ways to support learning at home.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and school expectations.
- Bachelor's degree (required);
Master's degree (preferred if required by district) - Valid Connecticut teaching certification appropriate for the assignment (Math), such as:
- Math, Middle School (Grades 4-8) and/or
- Math (Grades 7-12)
- Prior experience teaching math in a school setting (middle and/or high school preferred)
- Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and collaboration skills
