Join The Shore and Country Club as a Porter (Full‑Time)

The Shore and Country Club is seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented, and hardworking Porter to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the Club's facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and is committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and employees.

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all Club facilities, including dining rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, offices, common areas, and event spaces. This position supports daily operations and helps ensure an exceptional experience for everyone who visits the Club.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and changing areas
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain common areas, hallways, offices, and dining spaces
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the Club
• Wash, fold, organize, and distribute towels, linens, and other laundry items as needed
• Restock paper products, soap, cleaning supplies, and other necessary materials
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging tables, chairs, and furniture
• Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked storage and supply areas
• Follow established cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Adhere to all Club safety, sanitation, and operational procedures
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects and facility preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Previous housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial experience in a hospitality, club, hotel, or similar environment is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with members, guests, and fellow employees
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

This is a full‑time position. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, in‑season holidays, and occasional extended hours based on Club operations and events.
