Maintenance Assistant - Full Time Company Overview:

Perform maintenance tasks at The Oaks of O’Fallon and maintain the community in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Perform all tasks to ensure that the community reflects high quality appearance and in good condition for residents and visitors.

• Assist in regular inspections of the facility (e.g., fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, & generators).
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues, move furniture, service equipment.
• Complete unit turnover tasks (e.g., locks, patching, painting, needed repairs).
• Assist with snow removal, outdoor upkeep, and minor grounds-keeping.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance rooms and shop.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
• Availability for "On Call" at least every other week.
• Help set up for resident events and activities.
• Collaborate with team members and assist with special projects as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain confidentiality when required.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three years’ prior maintenance experience.
• Available for On Call.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.
• Ability to understand and relate well to senior adults.
• Must be flexible and able to work within a diverse team.
