Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Science or a related subject area.
- A valid Illinois Certificate Type 90 preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Job Goal:
To promote scientific literacy by assisting students in the development and application of scientific skills, knowledge and principles.
Performance Responsibilities:
Tutors secondary pupils in science, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education and appropriate curriculum publications as guidelines in addressing individual course content.
Terms of Employment:
- Work Year: 4 hours per day for 140 days or less during the 2026-27 school year. The exact number of days will depend on the start date of the chosen candidate.
- Fringe Benefits:
Not Applicable - Salary: $130.00 per day
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated continually on an informal basis.
