Qualifications- Completion of a recognized Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification
- EIPA credential accepted in school settings
- Experience supporting k-12 students preferred
- Comfort interpreting for multiple students, sometimes simultaneously, in classroom settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to different subjects and teaching styles
- Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and discussions using American Sign Language (ASL) or other required sign systems
- Foster seamless communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Support both individual and small groups of students across a mainstream curriculum
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to established professional standards
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to ensure students needs are met
- Contribute to an inclusive, positive school environment
- Consistent full-time schedule: 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
