Wiring Technician

As a Wiring Technician with Panatrol, you’ll be at the core of wiring control panels that help keep our systems running smoothly. Based in Chicago, this position offers the opportunity to grow your electrical and controls expertise while being part of a team that thrives on precision and efficiency.

• Maintain a clean job site/work area; pick up all tools and equipment each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Use a variety of tools to assist in assembling panels for the installation of key components.
• Read schematics to assemble and install devices onto control panels and run and terminate wires according to company standards.
• Cut, tag, and run wire according to shop schematics.
• Work with typical power and control circuits including 480
  
  VAC, 120
  
  VAC, and 24
  
  VDC.
• Wire industrial control panels per engineered schematics and layout drawings.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and motivated, positive attitude.
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bring problems to the attention of the Safety Department.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous control panel wiring experience (at least 2 years).
• Ability to read and understand layout drawings.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Familiarity with small handheld tools.
